For Shop Sellers

    To understand how The Shop City provides a platform for our shop sellers, please visit our support page.
     
  2. Regular Updates
    It is every Shop Seller’s responsibility to ensure their shop profile page; products listings and shop policy are currently up to date. To prevent any dispute with the customers, Shop Seller are highly encouraged to review their shop policies (such as Cancelling, Returns, Exchanges & Refund Policies) from time to time and ensure all policies are up to date.
     
  3. Forbidden Online Redirection
    1. We understand and respect that Shop Seller will have various e-shops or online channels to increase customer base and sales. While we fully support the handmade community, we seek the Shop Seller’s kind understanding and respect as well for The Shop City marketplace.
    2. With immediate effect from 1st April 2014, posting of 3rd party online links such as personal website, Facebook, emails and other channels are no longer allowed on our portal.
    3. If Shop Seller wish to list more products, take up our biz account which allows you to enjoy unlimited listing and many more benefits with us! (We are proud to tell you we are one of the most affordable online handmade marketplace portals that doesn't hurt your pocket!)
    4. Should we find any 3rd party links, we will remove them immediately without notifications to the Shop Seller.
       
  4. Conversation With Customers
    1. Shop Seller will only be able to communicate with the members under the following circumstances
      • Member has initiated the first conversation when requesting for custom order.
      • Member has purchased your item in your shop.
    2. Shop Seller shall not exchange personal contact such as email or mobile for private transactions and keep all conversations exchange within The Shop City portal. This will be useful for mediation in the event of any dispute between the customer.
    3. Shop Seller shall not share or post 3rd party online links such as personal website, Facebook, emails and other channels to the members.
    4. In the event of a dispute, when private transactions are found to have taken place outside the portal, The Shop City will not be liable both parties’ disputes.
       
  5. Termination of Shop Seller Account
    When Shop Seller refuses to comply with our portal terms and conditions after 3 written email warnings, we will suspend the account immediately.
     
  6. Warranties and Liabilities
    Shop Seller shall not hold The Shop City liable for any loss, damage, delay or failure of performance resulting from the use of The Shop City shop space and shall indemnify The Shop City from any claims, legal or otherwise, that may result from its use of The Shop City shop space or from any other authorized person’s use. Please note that The Shop City does not represent you, the Shop Seller and we are not responsible for the shop policies that you have stated in your shop.

  2. Read Shop Seller's Policies
    Member are encouraged to read through the Shop Seller's shop policies. If unsure, you are encouraged to send a message to the Shop Seller.
     
  3. Conversation With Shop Seller
    1. Member will only be able to communicate with the Shop City under the following circumstances
      • Member will like to request for a custom order
      • Member will like to find out more about the product listed by the Shop Seller.
      • Member will like to clarify/understand about the Shop Seller's shop policies.
      • Member wishes to visit the physical shop owned by the Shop Seller.
    2. Member shall not exchange personal contact such as email or mobile for private transactions and keep all conversations exchange within The Shop City portal. This will be useful for mediation in the event of any dispute between the Shop Seller.
